Remain calm
I have this conversation often in clinic. People come in distraught, stressed and in pain. They open up and share a great difficulty that has shown its face, they share their overwhelm and how lost they feel.
"How will I manage?" "What do I do now?" "I thought I was doing ok and now this..." and the thoughts, the fears, the worries start pouring out.
I have recently gone through a personal upheaval in my marriage and oh my, the things that have come up. Fortunately, I have learned a thing or two through my trials in life. I learned, that coming back to center, strengthening my core, reaching out for support and accepting it are what will get me through. Life always has a way of throwing us curve balls and we cannot depend on the external for our safety, sense of self and worth. We will not be ok if we depend on life circumstances to be ok.
I'm sure it's not your first-time hearing this but hear it is again!
So, after a session with me, where my patients get to share and unload, where people get to experience a deep sense of relaxation, connection and even gratitude I send them back into the world. And I remind them that nothing in their external world has changed but everything in their internal world has.
You can be calm, you can be free, you can be full of love and gratitude to meet life's challenges. Come back to your center, strengthen your core, reach out for support and accept it. That will get you through life's challenges with greater ease and grace.
