It's like riding a bike...

I think a lot about change and how to change. Change in my life and change in the life of those around me. I keep seeking that "thing," that magic, that recipe, that catalyst that will beem, bam, boom make it happen just like that. And what I come back to again and again, is that it is a process and it doesn't happen in an instant and you have to work at it and blah blah blah.
Well my latest about change...we have it all WRONG!! Change is a new learned habit, and that is that. The fact that we give it so much weight and importance is the problem and the greatest obstacle. Treat change like learning to ride a bicycle, drive a car, tie your shoe laces, learning to read...
You want to lose weight learn to eat better, make better choices.
You want to get in shape, find an exercise routine you enjoy and start with 3 minutes a day.
You want to be less stressed, learn better coping skills.
You want to be more positive, train yourself to think in positive ways.
You want to be in a healthy relationship, learn to treat yourself well.
We think we need to unlearn and relearn to learn and that is exhausting...JUST learn.
Learn and enjoy the journey.
Be excited.
Be hopeful.
Keep trying, keep going, keep getting up... just like when you were learning to ride a bike.
